Acta Juris Criminalis is building its reviewer panel and youth editorial board. Both roles are recruited through a public call, and the editorial office reviews every application.
Tell us about your research and, if you have it, your reviewing experience. Applications start with a link you confirm by email; while an application is under review it is visible only to the editorial office.
Youth editorial board
Youth board members pair their own research with an active role in the journal's academic life.
Eligibility
- Research experience in law or a related field.
- Able to complete assigned reviews within the agreed window.
- Willing to take part in editorial work such as referring scholars.
Duties
- Review manuscripts assigned by the editorial office.
- Recommend suitable scholars through the referral feature.
Appointment and recognition
- A formal appointment, recorded on the journal's public team page.
- An ORCID-based account in the submission system, with no passwords and no duplicate profiles.
Term
The appointment term and any renewal are stated in the confirmation issued by the editorial office.
Reviewers
The reviewer panel carries the day-to-day peer review of the journal.
What reviewing involves
- Read a submitted manuscript and file a structured report for the handling editor.
- The journal uses a Double-anonymous model: your name is not shared with authors.
- Invitations that do not fit your expertise or schedule can be declined directly.
Expected commitment
- Each report is normally due within 30 days of the invitation.
- How many invitations you accept is entirely your decision.
Acknowledgement
Every completed review is recorded in the journal's team records.
The editors keep your reviewing record on file when planning future invitations.
- Send a short application through the submission system.
- Open the confirmation link we email you.
- The editorial office reviews the application.
- If it succeeds, a formal invitation follows in a separate message.
Appointments are made by the editorial office. The journal never asks for a password; sign in is via ORCID.
